We are delighted to be exclusively partnering with a key client in the search for an Operations Manager to join them in a newly created role as part of hugely exciting growth journey the business is currently on.

Our client is a large, well-established business who operate within the field of Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG), Consumer Healthcare and Pharmaceuticals. They operate across an array of automated warehouse sites that process and distribute large volumes of products to customers across globally.

Some of the key responsibilities for the Operations Manager will include:

  • Overseeing and optimise processes, ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance with industry regulations. 
  • Developing and implementing operational strategies to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and maximise resources within a highly automated operational environment.
  • Leading a team of operational staff, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams including production, quality assurance, supply chain, and engineering to streamline operations and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Monitoring and analysing key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends, address issues, and drive performance improvements in operational processes.
  • Managing inventory levels, production schedules, and equipment maintenance to meet targets and customer demand.
  • Implementing and maintaining safety protocols and regulatory compliance standards to ensure a safe working environment and adherence to industry regulations.
  • Driving innovation and technology adoption within the operations department, exploring new tools and methodologies to enhance efficiency and competitiveness.

The ideal candidate for the Operations Manager role will have the following background:

  • A proven Operational leader who has a strong background leading teams and adding value within Fast Moving Operational environments.
  • Prior experience or an appetite to work within highly regulated sectors will be advantageous, e.g.. Food, FMCG, Healthcare, Pharmaceuticals, Automotive.
  • Has a strong understanding of Engineering (Automation/Robotics), with the ability to implement Lean/Continuous Improvement tools. 
  • Proactive, forward-thinking and data-driven approach to decision making.
  • Strong people management skills across a diverse workforce, with ability to take people on a change journey.
